good observational skills! but, there's also another possible source for that 'sun-shadow'. somebody i'm acquainted with (and his wife) have a pair of peculiar 'back seat passengers' in their cars. ;) two large plushies ride in their cars (seat belts on of course!), one in his car and one in her car. ;) those 'stuffed friends' are both the size of a child's car-seat. :>

on a side-side note, sun-shadow is actually the PROPER term for that pattern of fading/shading... not 'sunburn' as the fansubbers wrote in the subtitles. :> heh :>. when something's SHADOW or the physical presence of an object blocks the Sun's energy/light from causing fading/discoloration on an object, that phenomenon is called a sun-shadow.

Conan "interrupted" Takagi and Satou once too - Satou was trying the ole' "Fake-Out Make-Out" technique so they wouldn't be made by the "Hammer Man" they were spying on in ep. 530, but Takagi didn't know that that was why she told him to lay a hot one on her, so it wasn't the ideal situation for their first kiss - it was and would've continued to be awkward. Thus it seemed to me that Shinichi saw that and stopped them, and all the better, especially since he came through 4 or so episodes later and kept them from being interrupted while they did kiss for real at the hospital where Takagi was recovering from a partially blocked gunshot.
Did he do that here at 18:37, or was he too busy thinking about the case at the time?

ah! all that Shiratori talk got me remembering somethings you might have missed (or only saw the English dub version) with ol Poodle Head's first appearances in the Conan franchise. Shira was ONLY a MOVIE character in #s1-3 and didn't appear as a member of Team Megure in the TV series till after... now i'm unsure of the proper dates and episode numbers so i won't bother back-tracking.

additionally, Shira's old Jdub VA Shiozawa Kaneto-san died May 10, 2000 after having a fall at home on the 9th and his brain was injured. Shira's new Jdub VA Kazuhiko Inoue-san took over the role afterwards and has kept going in the role ever since.

yeahhh buuuut! later on in that ep530-535 'mini-arc' concerning TakaTou and the 'HammerMan Stakeout Smooch', Chiba finally stops pulling Takagi's chain about that time our chubby buddy and ;) Satou-chwan! ;) had a 'touching moment' during THEIR little fake-couple display. Otaku-cop ;9 comes clean and mentions it was just holding hands.

so Takagi actually DID realize Satou-chwan! wanted a hot n steamy smooch in that moment while 'HammerMan' was observing them from 'his' apartment window.

even a lady blindingly oblivious to romantic things, as to be a Japanese girl growing up in their country, and NOT know what in the blue blazes Valentine's Day and White Day mean... wants her boyfriend, who she's been quietly dating exclusively for 'some period of time', to 'lay one on her' now and again.

most Japanese couples are quite reserved, very private, and the social norm in their country... even for couples married for decades... is a serious 'no no, baaad couple' No PDA Rule. therefore, even if we take into account the fact that after TakaTou have their 'hospital smooch', she can't even read the room concerning ShiraYashi and their romantic difficulties. all because Kobayashi-sensei and Satou-chwan! look exactly the same in every way. Satou-chwan! would probably think at the HammerMan thing, "hey, when i notice a couple making out in public, i want to look away and avoid seeing that. hmm, Takagi's right here... oh, my! Satou's naughty girl hormones FINALLY wake up and scream 'c'mere big boy, let's put on a show!' "

so to me, Takagi not immediately grabbing his girl and kissing her till her toes curl... was a huge oversight on Takagi's part. :D

hehha yeah!:D i liked it because it was a VERY peculiar case and if you didn't remember, the scar he got on that case upon his head is why you always see him wearing a hat. :) he is embarrassed about the scar and doesn't want people to ask him how he got it. whereas his wife thinks the scar is an adorable reminder of how she fell for him. :D
